Reconstruction transforms fragments into form. Inspired by a visit to the American Visionary Arts Museum (Baltimore, MD), I feel this piece reflects much of what I’ve been revisiting from my youth. Instigated heavily by a healing journey I recently took as well, this piece is a witness of transformation, reconnecting with past narratives to empower new meaning and identity.
